Mission Statement
The purpose of the General Plan Amendments Committee, as established by the South County Advisory Council (SCAC), is to evaluate general plan amendments proposed for the South County and to make recommendations to the SCAC in the context of the General Plan for the South County Planning Area.
The Committee will provide additional advise and counsel to the SCAC as appropriate and shall obtain all pertinent information and data relevant to the proposal from the County or the proponent important to a full understanding of the ramifications of the proposed general plan amendments.
The Committee shall report its findings and reasons for its recommendations to the Board of the SCAC in a timely manner.
